Bike Across The Mississippi To Island Adventure | Noon Saturday, May 31

Earn-A-Bike and Learn-To-Ride alumni of all ages (parents/guardians welcome too!) are invited to join St. Louis BWorks staff and volunteers for a beautiful spring afternoon of biking, riding across the historic Old Chain of Rocks Bridge and down to Gabaret Island on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River!

On Saturday, May 31, we’ll all meet at the Chain of Rocks Park (10820 Riverview Drive) on the Missouri side of the Mississippi. Please aim to arrive no later than 11:45 a.m. so we can complete safety checks and brief release forms for all participants. Promptly at noon, we’ll head out across the mile-long bike/ped bridge and then down the trail along Gabaret Island to enjoy snacks and riverside relaxation partway through the adventure.

We plan to return to the Chain of Rocks Park around 3:30 p.m. The roundtrip biking adventure will be under 10 miles total.

Register via this Eventbrite page to participate. Also, along with a helmet and a bike in working condition, each participant should be sure to bring water and dress for the weather.

P.S. Does your BWorks graduate’s bike need some TLC leading up to the alumni ride? Stop by BWorks (2414 Menard Street in Soulard) in the days leading up to the ride (between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, or between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday). If you stop by at least a week prior to the alumni ride with the bike, our staff and volunteers will be happy to take a look at the bike and help ensure it's event ready!
